In a significant development for Arunachal Pradesh, Joram Aniya has been appointed as a full-time member of NITI Aayog. The appointment was formalised by the Cabinet Secretariat with approval from the Prime Minister.
Her inclusion brings representation from the Northeast at the highest level of national policymaking and is expected to strengthen regional perspectives in development planning. Alongside her, Dr R. Balasubramaniam has also been appointed as a full-time member.
