Assam Cabinet, on October 27, announced a financial assistance programme to support the state’s historic Raas festivals.
Additionally, the Cabinet waived the requirement for fees previously charged for obtaining permission to hold Raas Mahotsavs.
However, Raas organised with idols will not receive this financial assistance.
