Assam has taken a major step towards strengthening cancer research with the establishment of the Cancer Research and Innovation Foundation of North East India (CRIF-NEI). The foundation brings together leading oncologists, scientists, academicians, and researchers from premier healthcare institutions, universities, and research organisations across Assam and other Northeastern states.
CRIF-NEI aims to promote collaborative cancer research, precision oncology, and translational medicine, fostering innovation and improving cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment across the Northeast.
