The Assam Government has announced plans to transform the Bhupen Hazarika Samannay Tirtha into a year-round cultural destination. The proposed revamp includes the use of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies to provide immersive experiences showcasing the life and musical legacy of Bhupen Hazarika.
The project will also include the construction of an open-air stage and the formation of a government committee to manage the complex and organise cultural programmes throughout the year, promoting Assam’s cultural heritage and tourism.
