Shalimar Wheat refers to early-maturing wheat varieties developed by Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) through conventional breeding to suit the climatic conditions of Kashmir.

These varieties are designed for the rice–wheat cropping system, enabling timely harvesting before paddy transplantation and improving cropping efficiency.

Shalimar Wheat-3 (SW-3): Matures by the first week of June
