Operation Hinterland Brew is a specialised anti-narcotics operation led by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) to locate and dismantle clandestine drug-manufacturing units operating in remote, rural and difficult-to-access areas. The operation targets the production of synthetic drugs at the source, aiming to disrupt supply chains before the substances enter trafficking networks.
It forms part of India’s broader push under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, strengthening national efforts to curb drug production, trafficking, and distribution through coordinated intelligence, surveillance and inter-agency action.
