Indian Railways has launched “One Station One Product” (OSOP) outlets across 142 railway stations under its Northeastern Frontier Railway (NFR) jurisdiction.

As of December 31, OSOP stalls operate in five divisions of NFR, featuring 79 outlets in Assam, 43 in West Bengal, 13 in Bihar, 4 in Tripura, 2 in Arunachal Pradesh, and 1 in Nagaland.

These outlets offer handcrafted products, including Assamese pithas (rice cakes), traditional Gamosas, Jhapi, a traditional Assamese hat, bamboo and cane artifacts, jute crafts, Darjeeling tea, and designer jewelry.

By visiting these stalls, passengers can engage with the region’s culture during their journey stopovers.

The initiative has also been taken to benefit local artisans, many of whom struggled earlier to find markets for their crafts.
