The 73-year-old ‘Earthen Alchemist’ is a Longpi potter from Ukhrul of Manipur who dedicated five decades to preserve this ancient traditional pottery that traces its roots back to the Neolithic period (10,000 BC). Longpi pottery uses black serpentine stone and brown clay without a wheel.
