State Council of Educational Research and Training Nagaland issued an apology after a spelling error in the name of the Khiamniungan Tribe appeared in a Class 8 textbook.

The Khiamniungan are a major transboundary Naga community inhabiting Noklak and Tuensang districts of Nagaland and parts of Myanmar’s Sagaing Region. Their important festivals include Tsokum, a post-harvest celebration marked by feasting, dances and community activities, and Miu, observed during the sowing season for agricultural prosperity.
