In a significant step toward fostering a values-based society, the Youth Spiritual Summit was recently held in Varanasi, where the Kashi Declaration was formally launched.

The summit, themed “Drug-free Youth for Developed India”, was organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports at the Rudraksh International Convention Centre. It witnessed participation from over 600 youth leaders representing more than 120 spiritual and socio-cultural organisations across the country.

The Kashi Declaration envisions a Drug-Free India by 2047, in line with the broader national aspiration of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

By aligning spiritual values with youth empowerment, the declaration promotes a model of holistic national development that integrates physical well-being, mental health, moral grounding, and community engagement—marking a transformative shift in India’s approach to tackling drug abuse.
