Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is currently witnessing an influx of migratory birds with the onset of winter, as several variants of the avian species are arriving from Europe, America, and the Tibetan region.

To protect the birds and wildlife, the sanctuary has taken to ramp up its monitoring efforts, setting up 25 anti-poaching camps and conducting regular patrols around the region.

Incidentally, the seasonal migration has also boosted tourism. Between October 14 and November 15, around 4,000 domestic and international visitors explored the sanctuary, generating ₹5 lakh in revenue
