The 14th edition of the India–Thailand joint military exercise Maitree-XIV commenced at Umroi and will continue until September 14. Conducted under the bilateral military-to-military exchange programme, the exercise aims to strengthen cooperation, interoperability, and mutual understanding between the Indian Army and the Royal Thai Army.
This edition focuses on company-level counter-terrorist operations in semi-urban terrain, in line with Chapter VII of the UN Charter, which deals with action relating to threats to peace and acts of aggression
