India’s first Artificial Intelligence-powered human-elephant conflict research centre will be established inside Palamu Tiger Reserve.
The initiative aims to shift human-elephant conflict management from traditional reactive methods such as drum-beating and firecrackers towards AI-based proactive monitoring and interception systems. The centre is expected to support scientific tracking, early warning mechanisms and data-driven conservation strategies to reduce conflict between humans and elephants.
