For the first time, the 2027 Census will geotag all buildings during Houselisting Operations. Geotagging assigns latitude–longitude coordinates to structures and maps them on a GIS platform, giving each building a precise digital identity. The initiative aims to ensure accurate building and household counts, improve enumerator workload management, and eliminate errors from manual sketch maps.
