Navya Nanda and Samyak Chakrabarty, co-founders of Nimaya Foundation, met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati on 9 October to propose introducing the GenAI Ready Naari programme, particularly for tribal and underserved women.
The initiative aims to equip women with practical generative AI skills for research, writing, design, marketing and entrepreneurship. It seeks to combine traditional crafts, weaving and rural knowledge with digital tools, expanding career opportunities and supporting women-led businesses.
