The Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project has reached a key milestone with the synchronization of another 250 MW unit, taking its operational capacity to 750 MW out of the planned 2,000 MW. This strengthens India’s hydropower base, supporting grid stability and meeting peak electricity demand.

Beyond power generation, the project has contributed to socio-economic development in Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts. Through CSR initiatives exceeding ₹155 crore, it has supported sectors like agriculture, sericulture, handloom, healthcare, education and skill development.
